Welcome to the Fracture Liaison Service Database

The Fracture Liaison Service Database (FLS-DB) is a national audit commissioned by HQIP as part of the Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme (FFFAP).

Latest audit participation guidance published (August 2020)

NHSEI have produced the following document: Stepping back up of key reporting and management functions guidance.
This is in keeping with Stage 2 of the Government’s COVID-19 recovery planning and now prioritises restarting national clinical audit linked to the need to understand key aspects of delivery and clinical outcomes during and following the pandemic. Please click here for further details.

Changes for 2020
The v3 dataset applies to patients diagnosed with a fragility fracture from January.
The v1 dataset is now closed, but existing records can be updated.

The FLS-DB is included in the HQIP 2020/21 listing for national audits that must be reported both in the Trust’s Quality Account and also form part of the National Clinical Audit Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).

The FLS-DB comprises two national audit components: a Facilities Audit and a Patient Audit. The Facilities Audit aims to profile the structures and policies of services which identify patients at risk of osteoporosis and falls (whether or not they identify themselves as an FLS) in order to create a detailed national picture of how secondary prevention is being delivered.
