FLS Case Capture

This treatment run-chart contains data on 2 key indicators of a Fracture Liaison Service.

Patient identification- Percentage of records entered into the FLS against estimated fragility fracture case load.
Derived from the following 1 data item and one externally calculated value:-
•Estimated fragility fracture caseload from annualised data from National Hip Fracture database (NHFD) in previous 12 months using ‘rule of 5’
    against a value of
       •All records entered

Spine FracturePatients with Primary fracture identified as spine fracture.
Derived from the following 2 data items:-
       •(1.14 v1 or 1.11 v2) Site of first fracture: bone / joint = "Spine"
  against a value of
       •All records entered

Data Selection
All patient records from January 2016 up to 2 months prior to the current date. This is to allow sufficient time for the data to be collected and entered.

Data Calculations
The chart data is calculated as a simple % of all records entered per month against an estimated number of FLS fractures within your catchment area.
The estimated values is based on the number of Hip fractures entered into the National Hip Fracture database over a 12 month.

Update Frequency
Chart data is recalculated every 6 hours.
