About the Fracture Liaison Service Database

The Fracture Liaison Service Database (FLS-DB) is a national clinical audit commissioned by the Healthcare Quality Improvement Partnership
(HQIP) and managed by the Royal College of Physicians, London (RCP) as part of the Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Programme (FFFAP).
FFFAP is a national clinical audit program designed to audit the care received by patients who suffer fragility fractures and those at risk of falling
in hospital. FFFAP also facilitates quality improvement initiatives to help improve clinical practice.

FFFAP is comprised of three national audits:

National Audit of Inpatient Falls (NAIF)
National Hip Fracture Database (NHFD)
Fracture Liaison Service Database (FLS-DB)

All three elements of FFFAP are listed on the HQIP 2015/16 listing for national audits that must be reported both in the Trust’s Quality Account
and also form part of the National Clinical Audit Patient Outcomes Programme (NCAPOP).

Crown Informatics audit team is commissioned by the RCP to operate the data collection and reporting service as part of the audit project.
